To start the new year on a good note and try to make it the best of our lives, we write our resolutions and goals. In addition, we seek or make changes in our lives in order to be excellent and continue to grow as people.
What do we have to be thankful for this year?
We can start by expressing our feelings to our loved ones, although sometimes it is difficult, either because the opportunity has not presented itself, we are ashamed, or because we indefinitely procrastinate, the truth is as the popular saying goes, “tomorrow is not promised to anyone”.
EVERY MORNING WE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE DIFFERENT
Yes, every day is an opportunity to change, to be better. Every day is a gift, it may be the last time you have the opportunity to meet a friend, give your sister a hug or kiss your pet. Therefore, it is important to express ourselves and say what we feel, even if words suffocate you, it is time to say them. “Do not amass silences, shout from time to time.”
Express what you feel now, we never know if that I love you, miss you or need you may be the last. Thus, it’s opportune to use the words of Anne Frank in reflection: “The dead receive more flowers than the living because regret is stronger than gratitude.” Let’s not let regret be stronger than our gratitude and let’s start by giving thanks, for example, for the family you have, for the new life that comes into the world, every minute of life is a gift, look at everything you have and be grateful for all of it.
EVERY MINUTE OF LIFE IS A GIFT
Saying what we feel is a path of personal growth, that includes recognizing if I am blaming myself or if I am becoming empty from so much giving. Therefore, before helping others, it is necessary to help oneself to understand oneself as a person and learn from our mistakes and experiences. We are in process with a purpose and answering the initial question: What do we have to be thankful for this year? It’s simple, a new year full of new opportunities.
